Dubai: A Quick Update

Posted on Monday, November 30th, 2009 at 10:50 pm.

A collection of interesting pictures from current day Dubai, in stark contrast to the boom they were experiencing when I wrote about it *back in 2008.

Click the link and watch the video ad to see women practicing their robot jerking off skills for the upcoming rise of the machines toning their arms using a reasonable exercise device.  It reminds me of that SNL skit where they were shaking the Wiimotes and it was blatantly sexual.

Geocities Closing

Posted on Monday, October 26th, 2009 at 12:20 pm.

For those of you who have been online since the late 90s (if you’re like me, around junior high), you may remember how primitive the websites were back then.  Strange to think how much things have changed in 10 years.

XKCD is doing a tribute to GeoCities, as they are closing today.  I’m assuming they’ll have their layout like that for just today.  GeoCities was one of my first hosts, in addition to tripod, angelfire, lycos, and some other less-memorable domains.  Really makes me realize how long My Fake Site has been around.

I love this partially for my disdain for Oprah and deep love for Shaq.

Stop Racism

Posted on Saturday, March 14th, 2009 at 1:10 am.

Dear all, I implore you all to make whatever small contribution you can to fight racism wherever you may find yourself.  Tonight a friend and I found ourselves in a shouting match, and nearly a fight, with some redneck son-of-a-bitch who decided our friend shouldn’t be in a bar because he was of asian decent.

Just please stand up for yourself, your beliefs, and your fellow human beings where ever you can, and stand up to to racists wherever they may be.

What I received in my Reader today:

Pretty cool, since the researcher mentioned is from Stony Brook University.

The clip on the page:

Stony Brook, science, and Conan. What a mix.

Sure you can have my number baby
